Hosts for Uppsala Health Summit 23-25 October, 2023

Uppsala Health Summit is an international, annual arena for decision-makers, opinion builders and experts for dialogue on how we to implement knowledge from research and innovations for better health and healthcare. All delegates are personally invited and come from industry, politics, academia, healthcare and civil society, and from different parts of the world. The theme of the summit, which takes place on 23-25 October 2023, is Chemical Pollution and One Health: From Reactivity to Proactivity.  

 

Health Summit is a collaborative effort between Uppsala University and six other public or non-profit partners. All aspects of the Uppsala Health Summit should be of a high international standard: This includes the invited speakers, the forms of dialogues, the service and the welcome given to participants attending the summit.

 

We are now recruiting qualified and engaged hosts for the Uppsala Health Summit 2023.

 

Work duties: As a host at Uppsala Health Summit, your duties may include working at the information desk, ensuring that microphones are available and assisting in plenary sessions and workshops, guiding delegates around the conference venues at Uppsala Castle etc.

 

The exact nature of the duties that you will be assigned will be decided about one week before the summit. At that time, there will also be a briefing in October where we inform about the tasks involved (the exact date TBD). This briefing is compulsory to help you carry out your work efficiently. At that time, you will also be given information about working hours. The early shifts start at 07:30 and late shifts end at around 20:00. One shift can last between 4 and 10 hours, depending on each employee’s individual timetable.

All communication at the Uppsala Health Summit are carried out in English.

Job qualifications: Applicants must be service-minded and have some previous experience of working for events and/or conferences. Very good command of English is required. Additional language skills are a merit. Knowledge of Swedish is not a requirement.

Additional qualifications: We particularly welcome applications from students currently at Uppsala University or the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences.

Please indicate in your application your availability during the period 23-25 October, if you can work for the whole summit or for selected parts. Try to be as specific as you can.
