Digital International Student Ambassador - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Division for Internationalisation at Uppsala University is looking for digital international student ambassadors.

Uppsala University strives to offer educational programmes of the highest national and international quality and to give all students the opportunity to acquire first-class knowledge in their subject area as well as general academic skills. The Division for Internationalisation is responsible for recruiting students from all over the world, supporting them in pursuing education for a global labour market and creating an open, inclusive and international study environment.

We are looking for creative and committed international student ambassadors to help us market the university through our digital platforms. Our target group is prospective international students.

Duties
As part of the Division for Internationalisation, you will work in a team of digital ambassadors where your job is to market and spread awareness about Uppsala University internationally. You will work as a content creator, planning, creating and publishing content for our digital platforms. The digital ambassadors take turns to administrate our Instagram account @StudyatUU where you will show your everyday life as an international student in Uppsala or Visby. You will inspire and support future students and answer their questions, in order to help them make the informed decisions about their future. You will also produce blog posts for our blog #TaggedforUppsala where you will write about topics related to life as an international student in Sweden. While we do not expect you to work during the winter and summer holidays, you will have to help in planning and creating content in advance.

Requirements

• You must be admitted to an international bachelor’s or master’s degree program at Uppsala University during the academic year 2023-2024.
• You must be able co communicate fluently in English.
• You must be an on-campus student at either Uppsala or Visby

Personal skills such as creativity, creative writing, the ability to work without supervision and good organisational skills are import in this role.

Additional qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with social media
• Demonstrated experience with creative writing
• Good verbal presentation skills

The team of ambassadors should represent our international student group within the University. Therefore, we strive for diversity in gender, age, background, field of study, functionality and life experience in our recruitment.  

About the employment
The employment is a hourly according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. You will be employed for each specific task and receive remuneration by the hour. Scope of employment approximately 75-85 hours per academic year. Starting date will be August 1 2023 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala/Visby.
