SWEDESD – Sustainabiliy Learning and Research Centre, Department of Women's and Children's Health, Uppsala University, hereby announces a 100% position as center coordinator. Duties
The position includes, in close collaboration with the director, having a coordinating role for the day-to-day operations within the center, such as group meetings, seminars, network administration, as well as internal and external communication. In 2023, SWEDESD will be evaluated, and a special administrative coordination responsibility for this evaluation will be part of the work description. The tasks also include supporting researchers active within SWEDESD by being helpful with research applications, ethics permit applications and reports, as well as answering simple research administrative questions. You will also have special responsibility for coordinating and developing the SIHI Sweden network. Additional/changed tasks may be added depending on the development of SWEDESD. The position is located at the Department of Women's and Children's Health, MTC-huset, Dag Hammarskjölds väg 14B, Uppsala.
Requirements
You must have an advanced university education in global health or sustainable development, and have documented experience in administrative work. Ability and experience in planning, initiating, leading, executing and developing project coordination are meritorious for the position. Very good oral and written communication skills in English are required. Good knowledge of Swedish is meritorious. You must be comfortable working with Microsoft Powerpoint, Word and Excel. Experience in communication work, website development and administration of social media is also advantageous.
Strong emphasis is placed on personal qualities such as analytical ability, flexibility, sense of service and organizational skills. Furthermore, you should be self-motivated, like to be helpful, have good cooperation skills and actively participate in team work both as a leader and a member, as well as be able to carry out your tasks independently.
Additional qualifications
We would like for you to have experience in writing scientific or other reports in English and Swedish. Furthermore, experience in research and a doctorate are meritorious.
About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 12 months. Scope of employment 100%. Starting date 2023-02-01 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
