Postdoctoral position in Pharmacometrics - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences has 150 employees and a number of visiting researchers and fellow students. The department has twelve research groups with a common administration and we are doing research and teaching in pharmaceutical cell biology / biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical and drug addiction, pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, pharmacometry, clinical pharmacy, bioinformatics, imaging mass spectrometry, molecular neuropharmacology, immunology, biological drugs / biotechnology as well as toxicology and drug safety. Duties/Project description: The goal of our research is to develop optimized dosing of new or already approved drugs for treatment of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis in the pediatric population. The main tasks would be to use pharmacometric modelling to analyze pharmacokinetic data generated in multinational studies conducted by the BenefitKids consortium and in collaboration with the IMPAACT network. The position is part of the large and dynamic pharmacometrics research group lead by professor
Mats Karlsson.

Requirements: To qualify for an employment as a postdoctor you must have a PhD degree or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree in the field of pharmaceutics or simular. The PhD degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application deadline. The three year period can be extended due to circumstances such as sick leave, parental leave, duties in labour unions, etc. The applicant should have experience in data analysis within in NONMEM.

We are looking for a curious, motivated person who can work independently and efficiently. We put a lot of value in co-operation and communication skills. To be thorough and good at scientific writing is important for the position.

Meritorious: Experience with pediatric pharmacology. An interest for infectious diseases and global access to quality health care.

Salary: Individual salary.

Starting date: Immediately, or as otherwise agreed.

Type of employment: Temporary position according to central collective agreement.
