The scope of the applicant’s experience, in terms of both breadth and depth, is also considered important. A research plan outlining the applicant’s planned research in one of these areas during the four-year period in question must be included in the application materials. This plan should not exceed 3 pages.

Other expertise: Administrative and management expertise in academic environments will be considered advantageous. This kind of expertise is demonstrated in, for example, a capacity for operational planning and an ability to work well with others. In addition, particular weight will be attached to the applicant’s prospects of contributing to future development of both teaching and research at the Department of English at Uppsala University.

Personal circumstances (such as parental leave) that may be credited to the applicant in the evaluation of qualifications for the post should be specified in connection with the applicant’s account of qualifications and experience.
