The researcher will join the newly formed Holmes research group at the Department of Psychology, Uppsala University (Emotion and Mental Imagery Lab). We use experimental psychopathology to inform psychological treatment development, with a focus on the area of mental imagery and the clinical field of psychological trauma.
Research Assistant position: Psychological and technical development for a remotely delivered psychological intervention after trauma
This is a 100% post as a research assistant in an international project where a remotely delivered psychological intervention after trauma will be developed and tested. You will be a part of a team including clinical research psychologists with expertise in psychological trauma and your main role will be leading the psychological interface and technical development of an online course approach, similar to a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), first as a standalone course, and later as an integrated part of a digital psychological intervention. You may also work on digitally delivered intervention techniques informed by cognitive science, and in particular develop ways of remotely measuring cognition, symptoms and functioning.
This position is likely to involve (subject to ongoing discussion with the PI):
Qualifications: Bachelors in Psychology completed. Proven track record of psychological research on mental imagery and memory. Demonstrated interest in digital technologies in research. Demonstrated interest in engagement/design and digitally delivered interventions.
Other skills: Near completion of a PhD in Psychology. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work creatively and flexibly with other group members in Sweden and abroad. Excellent time management skills.
