Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a research engineer specializing in iPSC-derived hepatocytes and advanced cell-based models. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with Pixi Bio to develop and apply physiologically relevant liver models based on iPSC-derived cells and primary human hepatocytes. You will be a central part of an interdisciplinary team operating at the intersection of cell biology, drug research, and high-content phenomics, with the goal of building and further developing a robust experimental platform for drug development and toxicology.

Qualifications

  • Documented hands-on experience with culturing iPSC-derived hepatocytes and organoids, including the full workflow from differentiation to assay
  • Documented hands-on experience with culturing primary human hepatocytes, including viability management, ECM coating and optimization (Laminin 521, ColIV), media optimization, and handling of donor variability
  • Documented experience with maintenance and optimization of lab robots for microplate handling, including troubleshooting, programming, and hardware calibration
  • Documented experience with developing SOP frameworks for high-content phenomics workflows, including QC criteria and training structures
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and troubleshoot cell-based experiments in microplates
  • Structured, detail-oriented team player with strong collaborative skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
