Uppsala University, Department of Psychology

PhD student in developmental psychology

Are you interested in working with developmental psychology, with the support of competent and friendly colleagues in an international environment? Are you looking for an employer that invests in sustainable employeeship and offers safe, favourable working conditions? We welcome you to apply for a fully funded PhD position at Uppsala University.

Within the Development and Neurodiversity Lab (DiVE), we conduct research on early child development. In our clinical projects Project Småsyskon and PIP (Preschool Brain Imaging and Behaviour Project) we aim to increase knowledge about early development in children with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD, with the goal of improving opportunities for early diagnosis and individualized support in the future. We also conduct twin studies involving infants and children to better understand how genetic and environmental factors contribute to individual differences in brain development and behavior (e.g., Babytwins, iTWIN). Across our projects, we use a wide range of methods, including behavioral testing and parent interviews, as well as eye‑tracking/pupillometry and neuroimaging.

The doctoral student will work within this research group and its associated projects. The specific focus of the doctoral work will be developed through dialogue between the doctoral student and the supervisors.
