The Department of Pharmacy at Uppsala University has an interdisciplinary environment at the center of the pharmaceutical arena. Are you interested in working in pharmacometrics with a focus on global health, supported by skilled and friendly colleagues in an international environment? You are welcome to apply for a research position at the Department of Pharmacy, Uppsala University.
Diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV, and malaria claim millions of lives every year, primarily in low- and middle-income countries. The Pharmacometric Methods for Global Health research group uses pharmacometric approaches to develop new drugs and optimize treatments for these infectious diseases. We are part of the larger Pharmacometrics Unit, which is a leader in method development and the application of innovative models.
Duties
The position involves working on a project focused on meta-analysis of microbiological data from clinical studies. The aim is to develop an optimized and standardized analytical model to improve statistical power for detecting drug effects and to enable comparisons across studies.
Requirements
A doctoral degree. Strong technical expertise in pharmacometrics. Extensive experience with software such as R and NONMEM. Good communication skills in spoken and written English. A strong motivation to contribute positively to tuberculosis research.
Additional qualifications
Specific experience in analyzing microbiological data from tuberculosis drug studies. Experience working in international collaborations.
About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 10-12 months. Scope of employment 100%. Starting date 16 February 2026 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala, Biomedical Center.
