The Unit for Management Support is a part of the Division for Research & Partnership Support, and is responsible for Uppsala University’s international collaboration projects and networks (https://www.uu.se/en/collaboration-innovation/networks-partners-and-collaborations/international-collaborations) We are now looking for a student who would like to work part-time with administration as an international project assistant. One of the main projects you will work on is the South Africa–Sweden University Forum+ (SASUF+).

Duties
As an International Project Assistant, your tasks will include:

  • Administration within projects
  • Gathering information and compiling documentation for activities and other project reporting
  • Assisting in project meetings and conferences
  • Assisting with communication work and graphic material within the project
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of the SASUF website

The specific duties may vary depending on the needs of the operation.

Requirements
You are currently a full-time student at Uppsala University and have completed at least one year of university studies. You have a strong ability to work as part of a team, are creative and used to taking initiatives. It is important that you are responsible, meticulous, and organised. Experience working with a focus on South Africa and/or Southern Africa, as well as leading or managing activities within student organisations, is considered a merit. Since we work with organisations worldwide, a requirement is that you speak and write English fluently. Knowledge of Swedish is desirable and will be considered an asset. You should also be based in Uppsala, as some tasks require on-site work.

You have experience in:

  • Administrative work
  • Working with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Creating graphic and communication materials
  • Website editing/publishing
  • Writing texts

 Additional qualifications:

  • Experience working or studying abroad
  • Experience leading or managing activities within student organisations
  • Experience working with a focus on South Africa and/or Southern Africa

As a project assistant you will have flexible working hours but ideally work an average of four hours per week. In connection with meetings and deadlines your work hours may be more extensive.

About the employment The employment is hourly. Scope is 10–25% according to agreement. You are employed for each individual assignment and receive financial compensation per hour. Starting date Upon mutual agreement. Location: Uppsala
