Digital International Student Ambassador

Uppsala University aims to offer educational programmes of the highest national and international quality and to give all students the opportunity to acquire first-class knowledge in their subject area as well as general academic skills. The International Mobility Unit works with recruiting students from all over the world, supporting them in pursuing education for a global labour market and creating an open, inclusive and international study environment.

We are now looking for a creative and committed international student ambassador at Campus Gotland to help us market the university through our digital platforms. Our target group is prospective international students.

Duties
As part of the Digital Ambassador team, your role is to promote and raise awareness of Uppsala University internationally, in collaboration with the International Mobility Office. You will work as a content creator, responsible for planning, producing, and publishing content across our digital platforms.

Digital Ambassadors take turns managing our Instagram account, @studyatuu, where you will showcase your everyday life as an international student in Visby. Your task will be to inspire and support prospective students by sharing your experiences and answering their questions, helping them make informed decisions about their future studies.

In addition to Instagram, you will write blog posts for our platform StudyatUU, covering topics related to life as an international student in Sweden. You will also contribute content to our YouTube channel.

Requirements
To apply to join the team you will need to be a registered student at Uppsala University during the academic year 2025-2026. You must be able to communicate fluently in English. You will have to be an on-campus student in Visby.

Additional qualifications
You have experience in social media which you can demonstrate, and you have good verbal presentation skills. Emphasis will be placed on personal skills such as creativity, writing, ability to work independently and organisational skills.

About the employment
You will be employed as an Teaching assistant. The employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. You are employed for each individual assignment and receive financial compensation per hour. Working hours Approximately 60-70 hours per academic yearStarting date January 2026 or as agreed.
