Junior Lecturer in Information Systems

The Department of Informatics and Media is part of the Faculty of Social Science at Uppsala University. The Department has a broad research profile, focusing on current research topics and societal challenges, among other, information systems, interaction design and media and communication. The Department of Informatics and Media offers Bachelor and Master programmes and courses within the Faculty of Social Sciences. The department turnover is approx. 86 million SEK. Duties
The position involves course responsibility, teaching and examination for the course 2is072 Agile Methods, which is given in English within the Master's Program in Information Systems. Other teaching included in the position depends on the applicant's qualifications and may include supervision at bachelor's and master's level or course responsibility, teaching and examination for other courses. Active participation in the department's work requires presence at the workplace.

Requirements
A university degree and the ability to teach in English is required. Applicants will be chosen based on an overall assessment of their ability to carry out the tasks and contribute to a positive development of the department.

The applicant needs skills in planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching. The position requires the ability to work together and to be able to independently run and complete tasks within given time frames, even during temporary work peaks. Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, the ability to take own initiative and solve problems in a constructive way.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 6 months. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date 2026-01-01 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
