Study Abroad Ambassador

Are you Uppsala University's new Study Abroad Ambassador?

Right now, the Unit for International Mobility is looking for one new Study Abroad Ambassadors who during the year 2026, can help us promote and inform about the international opportunities available to students at Uppsala University.

Duties
As an International Study Ambassador, you work together in a team of two Study Abroad Ambassadors, in collaboration with the Unit for International Mobility, to carry out informational efforts aimed at students who have not yet participated in any international opportunity such as exchange programmes, traineeships, or blended mobility/freestanding courses abroad. You will be responsible for planning and executing various physical and digital events with the aim of informing about international study opportunities. Furthermore, as a Study Abroad Ambassador, you are responsible for our social media channels.

Requirements
In order to apply to join the team of Study Abroad Ambassadors, you need to be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme at Uppsala University, be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and meet one of the following requirements:

• You have completed an academic exchange of one or two semesters at one of Uppsala University’s partners.
• You have completed an Erasmus Traineeship.
• You have completed a Blended Mobility/ freestanding course through ENLIGHT.

As a Study Abroad Ambassador, you will work both in a team and independently, the ability to collaborate is central and the ability to work independently is crucial. You are expected to take initiative, be creative, and be flexible. The role involves giving oral presentations, so you should feel confident giving presentations and communicating in front of larger groups.

Additional qualifications
You have experience of working with social media and/or Canva and you have good verbal presentation skills.

We strive for representation from all scientific areas within Uppsala University and therefore especially encourage students from Medicine and Pharmacy as well as Technology and Natural Sciences to apply. It is therefore a merit if you are studying a degree in Medicine and Pharmacy, or alternatively in Technology and Natural Sciences.

About the employment
You will be employed as an Teaching assistant . The employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. You are employed for each individual assignment and receive financial compensation per hour. Starting date as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
