Electrification and digitalisation are among the major areas for the future transition to sustainable societies. The Department of Electrical Engineering conducts successful research and education in these areas - including renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, industrial IoT, 6G communication, and wireless sensor networks, as well as research and education in Life Science, health technology, smart electronic sensors, and medical systems. The Department of Electrical Engineering is an international environment with around 160 employees who contribute to important technological energy and health at the Ångström Laboratory.

Project description
We are seeking a motivated candidate to strengthen our understanding of device physics in the context of nanoscale silicon sensors for gas sensing and bacterial analysis.
Duties
Qualifications required
The candidate must hold a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a PhD in this field. Previous experience in characterization and modelling of silicon nanosensors, especially for gas sensing and bacterial analysis. Very good knowledge in written and spoken English are required.
We put an emphasis on your personal qualities such as good collaboration and communication skills with other researchers. You should be purposeful, structured and able to work effectively both individually and in groups.
About the employment
A temporary, full-time position for 12 months. Starting date: 2025-12-01 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
