The position is within the research group CIRCLE – Complex Intervention Research in Health and Care, Department of Women’s and Children’s Health. The research group is host for the transdisciplinary research program U-CARE (http://www.u-care.uu.se). Within U-CARE we are experts in in developing, testing and evaluating complex interventions together with those affected by the research.
Duties
The person we are looking for will work as a research assistant and support ongoing research within the research group CIRCLE and U-CARE. The research projects will focus on developing, testing, evaluating and implementing complex interventions for patients and/or their relatives.
An example of a possible research project the person we are looking for may work with is GuardiansCan. The overall aim of GuardiansCan is to develop and test an SMS-intervention to increase guardians’ adherence to children’s treatment for leukemia in Tanzania and thereby increase the children’s chances of survival.
The position may also include other tasks.
Qualification requirements
You should find it easy to collaborate with others and feel comfortable working independently as well as in smaller groups. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, such as flexibility, problem-solving ability, and quality awareness. Taking initiatives and being structured are important for this position. We want you to be efficient, be able to prioritize among different work tasks, adapt to quick changes in work tasks, be meticulous, and interested in supporting and contributing to development of the research group.
Meriting skills
The applicant should have great interest in, and possess good prior knowledge in, relevant areas for the projects. Previous experience of working with planning and conducting clinical research, and documented experience of working in interventional research is a strong merit.
Experience of research communication is a merit.
Experience of writing scientific articles and knowledge in how to manage research data is also a merit.
About the employment
The employment is a permanent position (probationary period may be applied). Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date 1 September 2025 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
