Researcher in symplectic and contact topology

The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate and
graduate levels in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. The number of employees is 130, including 40 PhD students. The Department has three research programs: analysis and probability, algebra and geometry, applied mathematics and statistics. To read more please visit the department 's web page. 

The Department of Mathematics is now looking for a researcher, for twelve months, for research in symplectic and contact topology.

Duties
You will work under the supervision of Dr. Georgios Dimitroglou Rizell, in the group geometry and topology at the Department of Mathematics. The duties include collaboration with the various members of the group and the production of research results in the fields of symplectic and contact topology.

Requirements
PhD degree in mathematics, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD degree in mathematics.

Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in symplectic Lefschetz fibrations, contact open books, in relation to Lagrangian and Legendrian submanifolds.
