Postdoc position - Economics

The Department of Economics is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences with approximately 100 employees from a dozen countries. Each year about 1,000 students participate in undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA) and PhD level courses. The research conducted at the department is mainly focused on labour economics, macroeconomics, political economics and public economics. Researchers at the department are frequently engaged as experts by the government and by the media, and interact with the society at large in a number of ways.

Required qualifications

To qualify for the position, you must:

• have a PhD in Economics. The position is primarily intended for applicants who obtained their degree no more than 3 years before the application deadline.
• have either done research on the labor market impact of different wage-setting modes or educational reforms.
• have experience from either theoretical or empirical analysis. Applicants with an empirical background must have experience in analyzing large amounts of administrative data.
• be highly proficient in spoken and written English.

Great emphasis is placed on individual performance, including the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
