Project Coordinator ReAct

The Department of Medical Sciences is a large clinical department with approximately 250 employees and over 900 people affiliated through the Uppsala University Hospital. The department has a broad research profile with strong research groups in various areas.
The current position as Project Coordinator is within the ReAct unit. The unit collaborates closely with other parts of the university, with the ReAct network's other regional offices, through exchanges with various institutions and with civil society both in Sweden and globally.

Job Description
This project coordinator postion is a crucial point for ReAct’s collaboration with Ukraine, which will be part of the “Program for support to Ukraine in the sectors of health, healthcare and social policy 2025–2027” . This will be done in collaboration with the Public health agency an other actors in Sweden.
The project coordinator will develop activities to support strategic goals in the Ukrainian National action plan with focus on goals infection prevention and control (IPC) systems, awareness raising among the population and medical professionals on antibiotic resistance and strengthening human resources and education in this field.
Support will be provided through online platforms, webinars, information material, trainings, meetings, country visits and other exchanges. One important part of this work is to establish collaborations within Uppsala University and with other actors and institutions both in Sweden and in Ukraine. The initiative will be launched in 2025 but with an aim to be further developed throughout 2026-2027. The position includes foreign travels to Ukraine and other places.
This may include tasks such as:
Required Qualifications
- Academic degree in medicine, nursing or public health, with solid experiences from clinical work in the field of infectious diseases and/or IPC
-Strong expertise in antibiotic resistance interventions in the health care sector
- Previous experience working in humanitarian setting
- Previous experience working with implementation of national action plans preferable on health care structure level or in projects with focus on infection prevention and control, awareness raising and/or education
- Strong pedagogical skills
- Previous experience in developing online and in person trainings, providing lectures
- Central personal abilities are: good strategic skills, collaboration skills, organizational and coordination skills, commitment to the mission of ReAct, flexibility and the ability and willingness to work independently and in teams with varying tasks in an international environment
- Excellent English language skills (both spoken and written)
- Depending on the security situation in Ukraine travels and work in Ukraine will be planned
It is an advantage of you have
-Diploma or extensive work experience from teaching at medical or nursing undergraduate programs
-Previous experience from work in Ukraine or collaboration with health care sector support to Ukraine
- Previous experience in project coordination and external communication and fundraising
- Knowledge of other languages, particularly Ukrainian, Swedish is also an advantage
About the Position
The position is fixed-term from August to December 31st 2025. Extension may be possible. The scope is partime 20-50%.
Start date by agreement. Location: Uppsala, Sweden.
