The Department of Medical Sciences is a large clinical department with approximately 250 employees and over 900 people affiliated through the Uppsala University Hospital. The department has a broad research profile with strong research groups in various areas.

The current position as Project Coordinator is within the ReAct unit. The unit collaborates closely with other parts of the university, with the ReAct network's other regional offices, through exchanges with various institutions and with civil society both in Sweden and globally.

Job Description:

This position is expected to contribute to various projects and areas of work within ReAct such as results-based monitoring and evaluation of activities, event planning, science, policy and advocacy, communication, and fundraising activities. Additionally, the role involves coordination, follow-up, and the development of strategies and work plans for the international ReAct network's activities.

This may include tasks such as:

  • - Coordinating the work on results-based monitoring and evaluation of ReAct's global activities
  • - Coordinating the process for developing ReAct's new strategic plan
  • - Planning events and meetings within the ReAct network
  • - Contibute to ReActs ongoing work to mobilise funding and diversify our donor base
  •  
  • - Assisting in the maintenance, strategic development, and marketing of ReAct's Toolbox, a web-based resource with tools and guidance for addressing antibiotic resistance: [https://www.reactgroup.org/toolbox/](https://www.reactgroup.org/toolbox/)
  • - Contributing to ReAct’s external communication through writing of newsletters articles and other types of external communication
  • - Other administrative tasks or other contributions to ReActs work based on the needs of ReAct

Job duties may be adapted depending on the candidate's background and areas of expertise.

Required Qualifications:

  • - Academic degree in global health or related medical field, social sciences, international relations, communication, marketing or similar.
  • - Previous experience working in global health, global cooperation, and/or sustainable development.
  • - Previous experience working with all or any of the following: project coordination, results-based monitoring and evaluation and fundraising.
  • - Central personal abilities are: good collaboration skills, organizational and coordination skills, commitment to the mission of ReAct, flexibility and the ability and willingness to work independently and in teams with varying tasks in an international environment.
  • - Excellent English language skills (both spoken and written).

It is an advantage of you have:

  • - Previous experience and expertise in the field of antibiotic resistance
  • - Previous experience working in international organizations or multicultural environments within civil society, academia, or public administration
  • - Previous experience in developing organizational strategies and organizational development
  • - Previous experience in external communication, including funding applications, policy reports, or opinion pieces
  • - Knowledge of other languages, particularly Swedish and Spanish
  • - Work/study experience from low- or middle-income countries
  • - Ability to travel

About the Position:

The position is fixed-term from June 1st to December 31st 2025. Extension may be possible. The scope is 100%. Start date is June 1st, 2025, or by agreement. Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis. Location: Uppsala, Sweden.
