Work duties
The main duties involved in a post-doctoral position is to conduct research. Teaching may also be included, but up to no more than 20% of working hours. The present research project involves developing electrolyte formulations based on functional additives to improve the performance of next-generation Li-ion batteries. The project revovles around utilizing existing electrolyte systems, based on research data generated in a previous project, and adapting these for large-scale implementation. The work involves optimization of electrolyte formulations, preparation and testing of prototype battery cells and studies of how the electrolytes affect the behavior and performance of the batteries through, e.g., electrochemical and spectroscopic methods. The work will be done in close cooperation with academic and industrial partners both in Sweden and abroad.
