Uppsala University, Department of Earth Sciences

The Department of Earth Sciences at Uppsala University is Sweden´s largest and most versatile department of its kind. The department have approximately 280 employees. Our activities are interdisciplinary and combine natural science and technology with social science. We have research programs in air, water and landscape science; geophysics; natural resources and sustainable development; petrology, mineralogy and tectonics; paleobiology, and wind energy. At the division Wind energy we combine leading research on wind energy modeling with interdisciplinary research on sustainable energy transition. We investigate topics such as how to maximize the electricity production from wind farms and how a transition to a sustainable energy system can be achieved.

Duties
Duties include teaching, administration or participation in research or artistic research. 

  • Marketing our programmes and courses on the Master level
  • Contacting incoming students
  • Assist in teaching and administration of the programmes and courses
  • Other administrative tasks in the group

Requirements
For employment as a teaching assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted as a student at undergraduate or advanced level in Wind Power Project Management field.
You should be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Additional qualifications
Its a merit to have skills in producing graphic/video material for marketing and implementing social media marketing campaigns.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. Scope of employment 20%. Starting date 2024-12-01 or as agreed. Placement: Visby
