RJ Program Languages and Myths of Prehistory (LAMP)
The LAMP program is an innovative research initiative that bridges three distinct fields: archaeology, the history of religions, and linguistics. Each of these disciplines has accumulated significant data and developed diverse methodologies for analysis. The researchers in the LAMP program collaborate to integrate these different types of data and methods to strengthen interdisciplinary development in the field.
The overarching goal of the LAMP research program is to shed light on and understand various aspects of the spread of Indo-European languages over the past 5,000 years. Please read more here: https://lamp-project.se/
Duties
We are seeking a researcher to contribute to this aim by deepening and expanding perspectives on this topic during the final year of the LAMP program. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with other program members to prepare the groundwork for continued interdisciplinary research. A focus on topics like dietary habits and food production within reconstructed Indo-European cultures, or other questions of particular relevance to interdisciplinary Indo-European studies, is especially welcome.
The researcher is expected to develop a project idea that aligns with the overall themes and chronological framework of the LAMP research program.
