Duties

Research Assistant in the field of cell biology with a focus on the development and maintenance of cell lines and disease models. Biological analyses with cell morphological profiling (Cell Painting) using automated microscopy to study the effects of chemical perturbations.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant subject.
• Practical experience in RNA or DNA transfection and immunofluorescence.
• Experience with automated microscopy (high-content imaging) with fluorescent staining.
• Experience in cell culture, maintenance of cell cultures, development of disease models.
• Experience with step-by-step protocols to manipulate cell lines.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as good documentation skills. 

Desired/Meritorious

• Experience with cell sorting or flow cytometry. 
• Experience with laboratory automation.
• Experience in multivariate data analysis and Python programming. 

About the position
The position is temporary, limited to 360 days. It is a full-time position. Start date: September 2024 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
