The Department of Peace and Conflict Research was established in 1971 to conduct peace research and offer Courses in peace and conflict studies. Currently approx. 90 persons are employed at the Department and at present some 1000 students are enrolled every academic year. Duties
The department is now seeking to hire a researcher for the project What are they fighting for? Conflict issues and the resolution of war (project leader Johan Brosché), who will work on studying conflict issues and their impact on peace agreements. Together with other researchers in the project, the recruited researcher will work on these issues. In addition, teaching at the undergraduate and/or advanced level, and administration is included (to a limited extent). 

Requirements
The applicant must, upon assuming the position, hold a PhD in peace and conflict research. Documented experience in working with advanced quantitative methods, as well as advanced qualitative methods, is a requirement. Advanced skills in written English usage. Previous teaching experience.

Additional qualifications
Peer-reviewed research publications related to peace, peace agreements or conflict resolution. Experience in fieldwork in conflict-affected communities.

About the employment
The position is: temporary (4,5 months). Scope of employment; Full-time (100%), employment. Starting date: August 15, 2024 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
