Duties
The project will involve evaluating design factors for pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) studies in animal models. Semi-mechanistic models that describe relationships between dose-concentration-effect in vitro and/or in vivo will be used.

Requirements
The applicant must have a bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical, medical, engineering/natural science or a related field. Applicants must have documented experience of project work in pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics or pharmacometrics.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability as well as motivation and interest in improving antibiotic methods. The applicant must be able to express himself well, both orally and in writing, in English. Applicants must be able to work independently and in a group.

Additional qualifications
Pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling and/or simulation in antibacterial therapy, preferably with a preclinical focus. Studies in a master program in pharmaceutical modeling or drug discovery and development, or corresponding program. Interest in, and skill in, scientific writing is highly desirable.

The employment is a temporary position, 3 months. Scope of employment 100%. Starting date 2024-06-10 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
