The Department of Medical Sciences is a large clinical department with approx. 250 employees and over 900 people connected via Uppsala University Hospital. The position sits within the ReAct unit. The unit collaborates closely with other parts of the university, and with the ReAct network's other regional centers through exchanges with a number of different institutions as well as civil society both in Sweden and globally. Duties
The duties include various initiatives in policy development, community engagement and to contribute to ReAct's strong anchoring in the scientific field. This includes participating in political processes, representing ReAct at meetings, produce communication material and scientific articles and organizing activities such as international meetings, webinars, etc. The position also includes participating in and sometimes leading ReAct's internal working groups and meetings. Furthermore, the position is an important part of ReAct's mobilization och administration of financial resources and contains therefore specific areas of responsibility in those fields.   

Requirements
We are looking for an expert with previous experience of work with antibiotic resistance and global health. Phd-degree in global health, medicine, pharmacology, biology or other relevant field and with research in antbiotic resistance is a requirement. Previous experience in science,  policy or advocacy work as well as previous experience in mobilizing funds for international projects (within research or non-profit activities) is required. The person should have a very well developed ability to communicate in both spoken and written English.

We are looking for a person who enjoys working in and leading initiatives of a varied nature, take on complex challenges. working in multidisciplinary and international team and has good coordinating and administrative competence. Other important personal qualities are good analytical skills, initiative taking, flexibility, creativity and strong cooperation skills. The working language is English and the position includes travel both within and outside Europe.

Additional qualifications
Swedish, spanish and other language skills. Previous work experience from low- or middle-income countries.
