Are you Uppsala University's new Study Abroad Ambassador?

Right now, the Unit for International Mobility is looking for one new Study Abroad Ambassadors who during the academic year 2024/2025, can help us market and inform about the study abroad opportunities available at Uppsala University.

Duties
As an International Study Ambassador, you work together in a team of two Study Abroad Ambassadors, in collaboration with the Unit for International Mobility, to carry out informational efforts aimed at students who have not yet participated in any international opportunity such as exchange programmes, traineeships, or blended mobility/freestanding courses abroad. You will be responsible for planning and executing various physical and digital events with the aim of informing about international study opportunities. Furthermore, as a Study Abroad Ambassador, you are responsible for our social media channels

Requirements
In order to apply to join the team you will need to be a registered student at Uppsala University during the academic year 2024/2025, be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and match one of the following criteria:

• You have completed an academic exchange of one or two semesters at one of Uppsala University’s partners.
• You have completed an Erasmus Traineeship.
• You have completed a Blended Mobility/ freestanding course through ENLIGHT.

Additional qualifications
You have experience of working with social media and/or Canva and you have good verbal presentation skills..

1. Curriculum Vitae
2. Personal letter of not more than two pages. The following information needs to be easily retrieved from your letter:

• Which of the above stated criteria you meet.
• In what country/partner university/organisation you did your exchange/traineeship/blended mobility.
• How you believe that an international experience will have a positive impact on your education/create opportunities for your future professional life.
• Suggestions on possible activities/events that would contribute to informing students about study abroad opportunities. Please check our webpage on International opportunities and our Instagram account @studyabroadfromuu for an overview of what is currently being done.

About the employment
The employment is temporary. You are employed for each individual assignment and receive financial compensation per hour. Starting date as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
