The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate and graduate levels in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. The number of employees is 130, including 40 PhD students. The Department has three research programs: analysis and probability, algebra and geometry, applied mathematics and statistics. Duties
Conduct research in stochastic control theory within the project “Stochastic Control with Uncertainty”. Teaching and administration can be included, no more than 20 percent.
Requirements
PhD degree in mathematics or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree in mathematics. Documented ability to excellent research in stochastic control theory. Relevant subareas include optimal stopping theory and singular control.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 5 months. Scope of employment 100%. Starting date 2024-02-01 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
