1-2 Researcher positions in Probabilistic Combinatorics - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate and graduate levels in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. The number of employees is 130, including 40 PhD students. The Department has three research programs: analysis and probability, algebra and geometry, applied mathematics and statistics. 1-2 researcher positions are available at the Department of Mathematics, to work with Assistant Professor Fiona Skerman in the areas Probability Theory and Combinatorics.

Duties
For this position, the aim of the research is to study various problems in combinatorial probability theory and to develop methods for the study of such problems. This includes, for example, random graphs and probabilistic problems from the study of algorithms.

Requirements
PhD degree in mathematics or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD degree in mathematics is required.

The candidate should have a good command of spoken and written English, knowledge of Swedish is not required.

Additional qualifications
A strong background in probability, combinatorics or theoretical computer science will be an advantage as well as earlier research results in that area.
