Duties: The position is linked to the undergraduate unit “Biopharmaceuticals”, which is responsible for several courses in the international Master’s Programme in Biopharmaceuticals, as well as courses in two Master’s programmes in engineering and the Pharmacy programme. The duties include

  • Course responsibility, teaching, and conducting examinations for course(s) in biopharmaceuticals.
  • Course responsibility and subject review of specialisation projects in biopharmaceuticals.
  • Mentoring of students in the Master’s Programme in Biopharmaceuticals.
  • Supervision of students conducting degree projects/specialisation projects.

A prerequisite for having demonstrated teaching expertise is that applicants have completed teacher training for higher education of relevance to activities at the University, comprising at least ten weeks, or have acquired the equivalent knowledge. When assessing teaching expertise, teaching experience and quality will be the primary considerations. The scope of teaching experience, in terms of both breadth and depth, shall also be afforded consideration. When assessing teaching expertise, consideration shall be given to whether the applicant demonstrates documented expertise in various forms of teaching at the first-cycle (Bachelor's) and second-cycle (Master’s) level. Whether the applicant has been assessed as a good teacher in evaluations carried out by both academic colleagues and students shall also be taken into account. Extensive teaching experience is considered an asset, especially if a significant proportion of the teaching took place within the past six years.

Furthermore, consideration shall be given to the capacity to independently plan, initiate, lead, and develop teaching and instruction, as well as the ability to connect research to teaching. The ability to interact with actors inside and outside the University in relation to issues of teaching and learning in higher education is also included in teaching expertise.
