Uppsala University, Department of Chemistry - Ångström Laboratory

The Department of Chemistry - Ångström conducts research and education in the chemistry field. The department has more than 270 employees and has a turnover of 290 million SEK. At the department's six programs, we conduct very successful research of a high international standard. We have a large number of externally funded research projects, often with international cooperation and we see continued good growth in our subject area. Duties

  • The main duty of the researcher is to conduct research. The research will mainly focus on the material development of lead encapsulants and their application in fabricating stable and efficient perovskite solar cells.
  • The researcher is expected to develop, synthesis and characterize potential encapsulant materials and/or fabricate highly efficient perovskite solar cells.
  • The researcher is expected to actively collaborate and be part of collaborative work.

Requirements
The following experiences, knowledges and abilities are a requirement to success in the role:

  • Doctoral degree in chemistry, material Science, physics, or other for the position relevant fields.
  • Experience in organic sysnthesis or efficient perovskite solar cell device fabrication.
  • Good oral and written skills in English.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a project group.

Consideration will also be given to i.e. good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen the administrative work within the unit/department, as well as contribute to its future development.

Additional qualifications
It is desirable to have experience with organic synthesis, perovskite device fabrication and different charaterization techniques, such as NMR, FTIR, UV-vis, XRD, XPS, Raman Spectroscopy.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, eight months. Scope of employment 100%. Starting date as soon as possible or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
