The Department of Medical Biochemistry and Microbiology (IMBIM) at Uppsala University provides a broad international environment for research and teaching. Work description
Work with analysis of interactions between different antibiotics and different herbicides using the CombiANT method. The project entails studies of clinical isolates of E. coli and S. aureus and how different antibiotics interact to cause synergy, antagonism or additivity. In addition, there is work with photosynthetic bacteria and studies of how herbicides can interact. Among the work tasks are microbiological work with bacteria, bacterial genetics and image analysis.

Qualifications
University studies at master level or similar in molecular biology, microbiology, or infection biology. We are looking for a co-worker with documented experience of work with bacteria, resistance determinations and molecular biology. Very good proficiency in English, both oral and written is a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as flexibility, accuracy, good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

About the employment
Temporary position to June 30, 2025. Scope of employment 100%. Starting date as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
