Duties
The work involves administration in relation to courses within systems science bachelor's and master's programmes, but also to assist in teaching moments such as labs and lessons. The work also includes grading and supervision.

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree with 90 credits in information systems, computer- and systems science or equivalent.  You are expected to have good language skills in English, both in speech and writing. For employment as a teaching assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted as a student at undergraduate or advanced level. 

Terms
Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Higher Education Ordinance (Högskoleförordningen), chapter 5. Only the person who has been admitted to undergraduate or advanced education may be employed as a teaching assistant (HF chapter 5, § 10).

Other merits
The work places great demands on collaborative ability and on being able to independently pursue and complete tasks within given time frames, even during temporary work peaks. Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, such as the ability to take initiative and solve problems in a constructive way for the organization. It is meritorious if you have completed courses or experience in pedagogy as well as if you have good language skills in Swedish, both in speech and writing. We also see it as meritorious if you are currently studying the first year of the Master's program in Systems Science at Uppsala University.

The application shall contain a brief description of yourself and a justification as to why you are applying for the position. You should also state if you have any experience with similar work. The application should contain a brief description of your educational ethos, how you view education and your view on teaching others. The application must also include a CV and a certificate of studies as well as a study result.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. Scope of employment 10-15 % according to agreement. Individual wage setting is applied. Starting date 2023-09-20 or as agreed through 2024-06-30. Placement: Uppsala.
