The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate and graduate levels in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. The number of employees is 130, including 40 PhD students. The Department has three research programs: analysis and probability, algebra and geometry, applied mathematics and statistics. Duties
You will work on topics related to the ERC grant “The Memory of Solitons” under the supervision of Dr. Michele Del Zotto, at the interface of the group of geometry and physics at the Department of Mathematics and the group of theoretical physics of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. The duties include collaboration with the various members of the group and the production of research results.

Requirements
To qualify for employment as a researcher, you must have a PhD degree in mathematics or Theoretical Physics, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD degree in mathematics or theoretical physics.

Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in the context of geometric engineering methods in quantum field theory and strings/M/F-theory.
