Position as a junior researcher in translational cardiovascular research

Duties
In the current project, the interaction of extracellular vesicles with human primary cells and how they affect their function is undertaken using various call based models. The main task is to develop and implement human primary cell-based and zebrafish based heart failure models in research projects where clinical patient samples are analyzed. The work may include development of spheroids from human primary cells of heart origin. The goal is to participate in and contribute to the development of translational research within the research group of cardiology.

Requirements
PhD in medical sciences, molecular medicine, or in a relevant subject. The multidisciplinary nature of the post requires previous documented experience in cell culture, protein analysis, imaging and quantitative image analysis. The ability to plan, execute and record scientific studies; make independent decisions and solve routine problems is important. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities and good collaborative skills.

Additional qualifications
Experience in Zebrafish animal models, handling human primary cells, live imaging, and bioinformatics analysis of proteome data.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 12 months. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
