Duties
The work will be carried out within two research projects. The first project is the  “Migration Policy (MIGPOL) Database” which is funded by the Swedish Research Council. The second project, “Protecting Irregular Migrants in Europe: Institutions, Interests and Policies (PRIME)” is funded by the European Commission (Horizon Europe). Both projects aim to generate new and high-quality comparative data on the political, social and economic rights of immigrants in Europe and beyond. MIGPOL is a new database which brings together indicators from leading data projects in the field of comparative migration policy research. PRIME is an entirely new project within this framework with a specific focus on the rights of irregular migrants. Both projects are part of extensive national and international research collaborations.

The assistants will be working with Professor Joakim Palme and other researchers at the Department of Government to collect data for the two projects. The main tasks include contacting legal experts in EU Member States to collect information on the social and economic rights of irregular migrants. Apart from that the assistants will also be working with data coding and management.
