Uppsala University, Department of Earth Sciences

The Department of Earth Sciences at Uppsala University is Sweden´s largest and most versatile department of its kind with approximately 250 employees. Our activities are interdisciplinary and combine natural science and technology with social science. We have research programs in air, water and landscape science (LUVAL); geophysics; natural resources and sustainable development; (NRHU); petrology, mineralogy and tectonics (MPT); paleobiology, and wind energy. By investigating the history of Earth, we understand how our planet has developed over time and how sustainable development benefits from this knowledge.

Duties
Duties include teaching, administration or participation in research or artistic research. 

As a teaching assistant you have a part time employment, as a complement to your ongoing studies.

  • Marketing our programmes and courses on the Master level
  • Contacting incoming students
  • Assist in teaching and administration of the programmes and courses
  • Other administrative tasks in the group

Requirements
For employment as a teaching assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted as a student at undergraduate or advanced level in Wind power project management field during the hole employment.
Fluent in both written and spoken English.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position 1 year according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. Scope of employment 20 %. Starting date 2023-09-15 or as agreed. Placement: Visby, Gotland.
