Department of Physics and Astronomy

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Uppsala University is one of the largest and strongest environments for both theoretical and experimental research in physics and astronomy. The department is strongly involved in research carried out at national and international research infrastructures for which we also develop and manufacture advanced instruments. The High Energy Physics Division focuses its research on three areas: collider experiments, neutrino experiments and particle theory.

The High Energy Physics Division at Uppsala University has so far conducted research at international facilities at CERN (LHC, FCC) in close collaboration with local theoreticians. An overview of our activities can be found here: https://www.physics.uu.se/research/high-energy-physics/
