The research group CHAP - Child Health and Parenting, is a multidisciplinary group that focuses on implementation and evaluation of public health interventions that focus on the improvement of health, especially among children and parents. Research is carried out often in collaboration with other universities, municipalities, county councils and NGOs, for it to be rooted in society and of use to the public. The group consists of 30 people with a background in psychology, public health, medicine, sociology, health economics, statistics, etc. We are currently seeking a research assistant in health economics

Duties

The research assistant will be working with the following projects:

  • The modelled cost-effectiveness of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based risk stratification method to early diagnose kidney injury secondary to immune checkpoint inhibitor use (ICI-AKI).
  • Health economic evaluation of different innovation and healthcare improvement projects

The projects require knowledge in health economics, medicine, epidemiology and statistics. The tasks include economic modeling, as well as data collection and analysis of individual level cost and outcome data.

Requirements
The candidate should have a bachelor degree in a health related subject and a Master of Science in Health Economics or related areas relevant to the job assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, quantitative, statistical and communication skills, and the ability to think creatively about research. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

Additional qualifications
Previous experience in research and basic knowledge of the Swedish language is desirable. Experience working with statistical programs STATA or R is also desirable.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 12 months. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
