We are looking for a senior research engineer for the division of solid state physics (FTF), which is part of the department of materials science and engineering at the Ångström laboratory. In the division, we work with both fundamental and applied research. The research is related to materials science for energy and environmental areas, but also to bioscientific applications. The division has several advanced spectrometers that are used in academic collaborations but also for measurements on behalf of companies. The position includes service and maintenance of spectrometers, measurement and analysis within various research projects, and commissioned research for companies.

Work duties
Requirements
Doctoral degree in materials science or technical physics. We also require documented multi-year experience and competence in Raman spectroscopy, which includes measurements and analysis of Raman spectra, experience in quantum mechanical calculations as support for analysis of experimental spectra, experience in ellipsometric measurements, as well as installation, development and maintenance of Raman equipment.
We require good skills in written and spoken English
We require the ability to work focused, structured and with foresight, both individually and in groups, and to be able to collaborate in a transdisciplinary environment with colleagues both inside and outside the department.
Additional qualifications
Experience with UV-vis measurements and analysis of photoluminescence is advantageous.
