Research assistant in the field of aquatic microbial ecology - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The limnology research program is currently looking for a research assistant in the field of aquatic microbial ecology.

Duties
We are looking for a research assistant that will carry out analyses of bacterial communities with 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing. The tasks include PCRs, purification of amplicons, library preparation and other related lab work.

Qualifications required
A BSc or MSc degree in Biology or related disciplines. Experience in lab work is required as well as a keen interest in microbial ecology and community ecology. We are looking for a responsible person with excellent collaboration skills who is also able to work independently. Candidates must be fluent in spoken as well as written English.

Qualifications desired
Experience in several of the above-mentioned tasks is a desired qualification.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 2 months. Scope of employment 100%. There is a possibility to agree on working part-time instead (at a minimum of 50% for 4 months). Starting date as soon as possible, as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
