Research assistant, Department of Peace and Conflict Research - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Peace and Conflict Research was established in 1971 to conduct peace research and offer courses in peace and conflict studies. Currently approx. 85 persons are employed at the Department and approximately 1000 students are enrolled every academic year. The Department is now looking for a full-time research assistant for a one-year assignment working with Professor Ashok Swain. 

Duties
The research assistant will contribute to the general task to collect and analysis information on conflicts, water, climate change, and humanitarian crises. Tasks include collecting and compiling literature and to write a review on the basis of the literature collected. The research assistant will also do some editorial assistance to the Journal of Environment and Security. 

Requirements 
Master’s degree in social sciences or interdisciplinary studies.
Previous experience from working as a research assistant.
Very good English both in writing and speaking. 

Additional qualifications
Master’s thesis on topics related to water, climate change, and human security.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 12 months. Scope of employment 100%.
Starting date; 2 January 2023, or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
