Duties/Project description
Analysis of avian genome and transcriptome data focusing on annotation and expression of germline-restricted chromosomes and W chromosomes, as well as annotation of satellite DNA in different types of sequencing data.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in evolutionary biology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, or another relevant field. Experience with analyzing different types of single-molecule sequencing data and generating phylogenetic trees is required, as well as annotation of satellite DNA in raw reads and genome assemblies.

Additional qualifications
Programming in Perl, Python and/or R is desirable.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 3 months. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date 2022-07-01 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
