The Department of Informatics and Media has a broad research profile based on current research areas focused on e.g. information systems, interaction design, media and communication. The Department of Informatics and Media has extensive teaching assignments in program educations and independent courses within the Faculty of Social Sciences. The department has a turnover of around 85 million SEK and has about 90 employees.

Work duties
Your duties will involve administration within courses that pertains to either the systems science bachelor- or master programme, but also to assist in teaching activities such as labs, seminars, and lessons. Your duties also include grading and supervision.

Qualifications
A bachelor's degree with 90 credits in information systems, computer- and systems science or equivalent.  You must have good language skills in English, concerning both speech and writing.

Terms
Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Högskoleförordningen, chapter 5. Only the person who has been admitted to undergraduate or advanced education may be employed as a teaching assistant (HF chapter 5, § 10).

Other merits
This work places great demands on collaborative ability and on being able to independently pursue and complete tasks within given time frames, even during temporary work peaks. Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, such as the ability to take initiative and solve problems in a constructive way for the department. It is meritorious if you have completed courses or have experience in pedagogy and if you have good language skills in Swedish, concerning both speech and writing. It is also meritorious if you are currently studying the first year of the master’s program in Information Systems at Uppsala University.

Salary: Individual wage setting is applied.

Starting date: 2022-09-20 or as otherwise agreed.

Type of employment: Temporary position through 2023-06-30.

Scope of employment: 10 – 15% according to agreement.
