Project description: The project aims at further developing a R package ‘rCNV’ to integrate 1. genotype environment association approaches using copy number variations (CNVs) as genetic markers and 2. develop functions to compute CNVs-based population genetics metrics (e.g. Vst).

Duties: Development of the R package ‘rCNV’, including programming, functionality tests, documentaion and writing of the user manual.

Qualifications required: A doctoral degree, or a foreign degree equivalent to a doctoral degree, in evolutionary biology, genetics or ecology. In addition, the candidate should have proven record in R package development, be trained in population and quantitative genetics and be familiar with the theoretical background and the analytical tools associated to the study of large-scale duplications (e.g. polyploids). Candidates must be able to express themselves in spoken as well as written English.

Qualifications desired: Having worked with plant model is considered a plus.

The employment is a temporary position, 5 months. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date 2022-08-01. Placement: Uppsala
