Research Assistant - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Information Technology has a leading position in research and all levels of higher education. Today the department has c. 300 employees. The Department comprises research and education in a spectrum of areas within Computer Science, Information Technology and Scientific Computing. The candidate will be placed in the division for system and control, within the research area Artificial Intelligence (AI), working with Professor David Sumpter.

Duties:
Creation of online research and teaching resources around modelling complex systems. Under the supervision of David Sumpter, and with material supplied by him, you will create a webpage providing code and tools for statistical and mathematical modelling. Application areas include football, biological systems and social media. 

Requirements:
Programming in Python essential. University level courses in multivariate calculus, basic probability and statistics and algebra essential. Further courses in machine learning, statistics and dynamical systems highly desirable. 

Additional qualifications:
Webpage design and Javascript. Experience with Streamlit or similar is useful. A good understanding of visualization. Please provide evidence of, for example, previous webpage design, Python notebooks you have created, Github submissions or similar.

About the employment:
The employment is a temporary position, 9 months. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date 19 April or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
