Duties
As a course assistant you work with planning, administration, implementation and post-reporting of courses in collaboration with the course responsible teacher and other teachers involved in the courses. Together with the teachers you will prepare course material for seminars, exercises and field activities, as well assisting teachers during teaching. Work may also include assisting with course administration and to prepare and compile material for the development of courses and together with the teacher and the director of studies develop the education.

Requirements
Current experience in geoscientific university education. Good computer experience and good language skills in English in speech and writing. You should be at the end of your Earth Science university studies or within two years of your degree. Personal characteristics are important, such as good ability to listen and collaborate, and to meet and give room for people from different backgrounds and perspectives. You also need the ability to take the initiative and to be able to solve problems in a constructive way for the business, as well as being able to operate and complete independently tasks within given time frames, even during temporary work breaks.

Additional qualifications
Ongoing or recently completed studies in geosciences or related fields. Experience of work as course assistant is a merit.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 5 months. Scope of employment 50 %. Starting date 01-03-2022 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
