The Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences has 140 employees as well as a number of guest researchers and fellows. The department has fifteen research groups/research areas with a joint administration and we conduct research and teaching in pharmaceutical cell biology and biotechnology, biochemistry, immunology, protein drug design, biological drugs/biotechnology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical and drug addiction , pharmacognosy, galenic pharmacy, bioinformatics, imaging mass spectrometry, molecular neuropharmacology, as well as toxicology and drug safety. Duties: Proteomic studies and analysis of ligand-receptor interactions with mass spectrometry, nano liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis. Cell cultures, overexpression and purification of membrane proteins. Bioinformatic analysis for interpretation of conducted experiments. Supervision of undergraduate, graduate students and others up to max 20% of the working time.

Requirements: A PhD in analytical chemistry or pharmacy or related fields. Knowledge and practical experience working with mass spectrometry such as Synapt G2 (Waters) equipped with nano liquid chromatography and/or capillary electrophoresis, are a must. In addition, overexpression of proteins in cell lines and proteomic analysis of these with mass spectrometry is required. We are looking for a person that is organized and with good team spirit.

Additional qualifications: Knowledge of other techniques within bioanalysis, production of proteoliposomes and softwares for experiments and analysis with Waters instruments are beneficial for the position.

Salary: Individual salary.
