The Division of Applied Materials Science conducts teaching and research in materials science, typically based on experimental activities. Central research areas are biomaterials, tribology, electron microscopy and sensors / detectors.
Work duties: Continued work within an ongoing research project focussed on developing and studying graphene/metal composites or competing contact materials. The tasks mainly include performing tribological method development and testing, as well as evaluation of the results, primarily with SEM, EDS, light microscopy and profilometry. Some participation in teaching may also be included.
Qualification requirements: Doctoral degree in materials science and documented multi-year experience and competence within tribology and relevant surface analysis, with focus on how the structure and function of materials are modified in tribological contacts, including the structure and function of tribo films. Experience and competence in tribological testing and evaluation of electrical contacts.
We require high level oral and written skills in English and Swedish.
You must be ambitious, motivated and have a good ability to collaborate in both academia and industry. You should be structured and able to work effectively both individually and in groups.
