Uppsala University, Department of Economics

The Department of Economics is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences with approximately 100 employees from a dozen countries. Each year about 1,000 students participate in undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA) and PhD level courses. The research conducted at the department is mainly focused on labour economics, macroeconomics, political economics and public economics. Researchers at the department are frequently engaged as experts by the government and by the media, and interact with the society at large in a number of ways. Duties: The duties consist of conducting empirical research in labor market economics, with a special focus on the importance of companies for wage dispersion and employment patterns.

Requirements: To qualify you must have a PhD degree in economics and have experience of empirical labor market economics. It is important that you have knowledge of using register data to analyze how companies affect wage distribution and employment patterns. Good knowledge of English is a requirement.

Salary: Individual salary.

Starting date: 01-09-2021 or as otherwise agreed.
